SUMMER EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY


The Whitemouth Municipal Museum invites applications for summer employment. Established in 1975, the museum offers visitors and residents an immersive experience of what life was like when pioneers first came to the Municipality. The museum houses artifacts that depict the life of settlers from the communities of Seven Sisters Falls, River Hills, Whitemouth and Elma. The museum is a gathering place for family picnics and events in the community.


JOB DESCRIPTION
Tour Guide, administration, computer skills including Excel, grass cutting, clearing walkways, grounds keeper, keep buildings organized, safe and clean for public, assist volunteer board, photograph and maintain list of artifacts, research. Adhere to Provincial sanitizing regulations due to Covid 19 precautions.
The applicant must be outgoing, interact well with the public, able to work alone, good work ethics, organized, and able to complete tasks as requested by the Museum Board. Must have an interest in local history.


EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must be between 16 — 30 years of age. Must be 16 at the time of selection, legally able to work and not have another full-time 30 hours per week summer job.


EMPLOYMENT PERIOD
JULY 1, 2021 TO AUGUST 26, 2021
30 HOURS PER WEEK
Friday to Tuesday 10:00am to 5:00pm


SALARY
$13.00 per hour plus holiday pay.
